06: who they love & 07: generations
On Sunday we took a walk. And I brought my camera :) It was a beautiful day - one on which we had gotten up WAY early to go pick up our lovable little Luna after a week without her and then came home only to leave again to go to a brunch at church. It was fantastic to meet other people new to and involved in our church and really made us excited about being members of St. Judes. As much as we enjoyed ourselves though, we couldn’t wait to come home and hang out with our little fluff ball. To catch everyone up, Luna is now about 15 months old and ever since we have had her, she has “leaked.” Turns out it was a condition where one of her ureters was ectopic and just not feeding into her bladder, thus no “valve” to turn it off. With a baby on the way, we figured we didn’t want to have two little ones in diapers, haha, so we took her up to University of Georgia and they fixed her right up :) (Or so we hope - we were told it will take about 4-6 weeks to see if it takes - but so far so good!) Luna was a little bit out of it, so we decided to perk her (and ourselves!) up with a nice walk around our complex. The sun was shining, the weather was warm, and I needed to take some pictures. We got some fun shots for my photography session as well as some bonus fun ones :)
For the joy of love series, being as willette posted both days 6 and 7 in the same post, so did I. Day 6 was about capturing those you love with those THEY love. Well naturally Andrew loves US (Luna and myself) so we did a little “self-portraiture” on the dock here at the Lodge. I made sure to take into account the lighting effects I learned in my photography class last weekend and we were happy with the shots. Day 7 was all about generations, and since baby blob is not quite ready for it’s photo debut, I wanted to get a nice photo of Andrew and his furry baby Luna. I really love the emotion in this picture and I think it will be one I frame for the office :) Additionally we took a couple fun shadow pictures while walking so I wanted to include those as well. (Gotta love the belly shadow!) So while we got a ton accomplished this weekend, and are this much closer to getting that nursery done, I am SO glad we took time for such a lovely walk. And very glad that Luna is back - we missed her!
